Surf Report Submissions:

When you text us a surf report, you will receive:

1 confirmation text message acknowledging your report
Up to 1 follow-up text message asking for details about your report
1 text message inviting you to subscribe to surf alerts (one-time)

Surf Alerts (Optional):

After submitting a report, you may reply YES to subscribe to surf condition alerts. If you subscribe, you will receive:

Surf condition alerts when waves are good
Dawn patrol alerts for early morning sessions
Weekly surf forecasts
Water quality warnings when conditions are unsafe

Alert frequency: Up to 5 text messages per week.

Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to cancel all messages. Text HELP for help.

How It Works

Locls Club is a community-powered surf report. Text us your report to share conditions with other surfers and optionally get alerts when it's good.

1. You text us your surf report. After your session, send a text describing the conditions - wave size, crowd, water quality, whatever you noticed.

Example text you might send:

"Chest high sets, pretty crowded but fun. Water felt clean."

2. We send you a confirmation + alert invite. You'll receive a text confirming your report and an invitation to subscribe to surf alerts.

Example confirmation you'll receive:

"Thanks for the report! Want alerts when it's good? Reply YES for surf alerts (up to 5/week). Msg&data rates apply. Reply STOP to opt out."

3. Reply YES to get surf alerts (optional). If you want to know when conditions are firing, reply YES. You'll get alerts for good surf days, dawn patrol, weekly forecasts, and water quality warnings.

Example alert you might receive:

"Dawn patrol alert: Venice is ON tomorrow. Chest-head high, offshore winds, glassy. Best before 9am."

4. We may ask a follow-up question. Occasionally, we'll text a quick question about your report to get more details.

Example follow-up question:

"Got it - sounds fun! How was the crowd compared to usual?"

Types of Alerts

If you subscribe to alerts by replying YES, you may receive:

Surf condition alerts: Notifications when waves are good ("It's firing today")
Dawn patrol alerts: Early morning alerts when conditions are prime
Weekly forecasts: Summary of the upcoming week's surf outlook
Water quality warnings: Alerts when water quality is poor or unsafe

You can unsubscribe from alerts at any time by texting STOP.

Opt-Out & Help

To stop receiving all messages: Text STOP to (855) 514-7462 at any time. You'll receive a confirmation that you've been unsubscribed.
